Morning session
Defence and Breakdown Masterclass, focusing on the skills and technique required to win the ball back, as well as developing the understanding of different types of defence.
Afternoon Session
7’s Masterclass covering all the skills required to play 7’s professionally, whilst preparing all players for the upcoming school 7’s season.
Both masterclasses will be coached by players and coaches from the professional game.
Rowland Winter is the former director of Rugby for Coventry RFC he transformed the club, bringing it into a new era of professionalism, and guiding it to the National League One title in 2018 and a return to the Championship. Prior to Coventry, he held various roles in professional, academy and community rugby. As Director of Rugby of Cambridge RFC, he led the club to win National League 2 in 2016, whilst concurrently heading up the coaching of the Northampton Saints AASE Academy partnership with Moulton College. Rowland has also spent time working with the RFU as a coach educator and directing aspects of the England U20 Divisional and England Counties programme as selector and coach
Players are required to bring their kit including trainers and rugby boots as sessions will take place both outdoor (pitches) and indoor (gym).
