1– Our specially designed defensive session is focusing on those that want to improve this aspect of their skill set. The coaches will work to maximise the players talent in this area.
2– This intense 3 ½ hour session, we see us focus on the individuals role within a defensive pattern and different types of defence. The coaching team will also work on how the players technique and decision making can be improved. We will bring guest coaches how have a wealth of experience in coaching tackle and defensive techniques
Rowland Winters is the former director of Rugby for Coventry RFC he transformed the club, bringing it into a new era of professionalism, and guiding it to the National League One title in 2018 and a return to the Championship. Prior to Coventry, he held various roles in professional, academy and community rugby. As Director of Rugby of Cambridge RFC, he led the club to win National League 2 in 2016, whilst concurrently heading up the coaching of the Northampton Saints AASE Academy partnership with Moulton College. Rowland has also spent time working with the RFU as a coach educator and directing aspects of the England U20 Divisional and England Counties programme as selector and coach.
